Remark: The large white building is the
Tremont Hotel. The darker building to the left was a filling station and small
restaurant serving fish and chicken dinners. The road in the foreground in
present day US Highway 12. The Tremont Hotel fronted on County Road 100 East.
The Old Indian Medicine Man business would have been located immediately to the
right of the photographer, while the South Shore Line's Tremont Station would
have been located behind the photographer.
