As of 2020, this structure still stands north of Pine Street between Maple Street (Indiana State Road 520) and Hickory Street in The Pines and operates as Sands Inn.

Leighton Travis Bryant constructed, owned, and operated the Haven of Rest Motel until he sold the property in 1978. Born on October 27, 1914, Bryant passed away on January 18, 2017 at the age of 102.
