Remark: This "proposed" church was never constructed. Instead a wood frame church was constructed of approximately the same dimensions of the church seen in this image. The Congregational Church in Porter was organized in 1891, with the church being located at the corner of Beam Street and Wagner Road. Soon after, in 1892, the Swedish Mission Church purchased the Congregational Church.
