Remark: Seven Dolors Shrine, Franciscan Fathers, Valparaiso, Indiana. Seven Dolors Shrine is a beautiful place of pilgrimage dedicated to the Sorrowful Mother. The shrine is situated off U. S. 6, 12 miles east of Gary. Services at the outdoor shrine are conducted Sundays, May thru October, by the Franciscan Fathers. The main entrance to the Pilgrimage place dedicated to the Blessed Mother. Additional information concerning this Roman Catholic shrine is available in a brochure titled "A Visit to Seven Dolors Shrine," as well as from the the small service information brochure titled "Seven Dolors Shrine." These two brochures were published in the mid-1960s.
