between Gary and Michigan City, Indiana, on the shore of Lake Michigan,
comprises 2,250 acres of forest and dunes, miles of interesting trails, gnarled
trees, resisting the ever-shifting powdery sand, plants peculiar to the tropics
and moss indigenous to the arctics. Ideal facilities for picnic or vacation,
refreshment pavilion, hotel accommodations, cottages, camp sites, a fine
two-story bathing pavilion and concrete parking spce for 1600 cars.
