Chesterton, Indiana
Date: Circa 1910
Source Type: Postcard
Publisher, Printer, Photographer: Unknown
Postmark: P. L. Huckins

Remark: The Protestant Cemetery is more commonly referred to as
Chesterton Cemetery, which is located along the south side of present day Porter
Avenue between Indiana State Road 49 and Coffee Creek. The tall dark tombstone
that is fenced in on the right side of this image is that for J. B. Bostwick,
who was born on March 27, 1810, and died on May 3, 1895. These tombstones are
located at the far west end of the cemetery, and this view is looking north. The
tombstones located to the left of the lane in this image are in the oldest part
of the cemetery, adjacent to Coffee Creek.
