Remark: The building visible on the left with the flagpole is the Grand Army of the Republic's Memorial Opera House. Next door, to the right, is the home of the Porter County Sheriff. Behind the sheriff's residence is the Porter County Jail. Charles H. Lindners' retail building for his Olympia Elevator Warehouse is visible on the lower bottom right. On the horizon, above the jail, the roof of Valparaiso University's Auditorium is visible. Immediately to the right of the Auditorium can be seen a spire of the Old College Building on the Valparaiso University campus.
