Remark: Built in 1928, while Edward V. Gustafson was trustee of Liberty Township, a modern brick building was added for the upper six grades (seventh through twelfth), and the schools of the entire township were consolidated into Liberty Center High School. This building included science laboratories, modern plumbing, and a large gymnasium that also serves as an auditorium for school and community purposes. Motorized buses transported students over gravel and cement roads. The Johnson School, directly across the road from this school, provided education for first through sixth grades.
