Remark: Mount Tom, covering more than 100 acres, is 195 ft. above the lake and is the highest of the three largest Dunes in "Dune-land," mid-way between Gary and Michigan City. The Park comprises 2200 acres of forest and dunes, miles of intersecting trails, gnarled trees, plants, peculiar to the tropics and moss indigenous to the arctics.
