Remark: The following description of the interior of St. Patrick's Catholic Church was published April 16, 1908, in The Chesterton Tribune:

BEAUTIFUL CHURCH DECORATION
St. Patrick's Edifice Now Presents Most Striking Appearance.

When St. Patrick's church is opened for the Easter service next Sunday the sight that will greet the parishioners will be one that will be most pleasing to the eye, the interior of the church having been handsomely decorated by Artist Charles Leber, of Louisville, who was brought here for that especial purpose. The writer was permitted to view the interior of the church on Wednesday, and though the work was yet in an unfinished stage, it was far enough advanced to convince one that the church is to be one of the handsomest in this part of the state when the decorating is completed.

The decorations have not bee confined to the walls of the pulpit and ceiling, but in stead extend throughout the edifice. The walls are artistically attired in scrolls designs with a border of passion flowers topping the marble wainscoting effect, while the upper walls of the pulpit bear two beautiful oil paintings on canvas of St. Bonifacius and St. Stanislaus. The ceiling shows angelic figures and scroll work, in fact, the interior decorations are much more elaborate than anticipated by the most sanguine patron of the church. The work sheds great credit upon Father Juraschek, through whom the redecorating was brought about and Artist Leber and his corps of assistants, who did the work.
