Remark: This photograph was taken looking northeast. The Boone Grove station of the Chicago & Erie Railroad Company was located at milepost 220 of the rail line. The photograph, believed to have been taken by Francis M. Berry, a flagman and conductor for the Chicago & Erie Railroad for 51 years, is marked on the reverse "Boone Grove Station."
